Mark Your Calendar for State of the City
The annual EDC State of the City Luncheon will be Thursday, April 15 at Harrah's Hotel. Theevent wil feature reports from Clay County communities Kansas City, Gladstone, Excelsior Springs, Liberty, Kearney, North Kansas City and Smithville. County ED Pros Set for April Info Exchange The April 7 Information Exchange sponsored by the Clay County Economic Development Council will feature the work of the Clay County Economic Development Professionals. The ED Pros is comprised of economic development representatives from Kansas City, Gladstone, Excelsior Springs, Liberty, Kearney, North Kansas City, Smithville and the Clay County EDC. Founded by the EDC, the group plans and coordinates business attraction, retention and expansion initiatives for the entire county. The April 7 Info X will be held at the North Kansas City Community Center, 1999 Iron Street, North Kansas City at 7:30 a.m. The event is free and open to the public. Golf Tournament Set for May 21The Clay County Economic Development Council’s seventh annual Golf Invitational will be Friday, May 21 at Paradise Pointe on Smithville Lake. A full breakfast will precede the 9 a.m. shotgun start, with registration from 8 to 8:45 a.m. There will be food and beverages on the course as well as gifts for all golfers and prizes for winners following the tournament.
