Hunt Midwest Expands Business Park

October 2018

As big as it was, the Hunt Midwest Business Center is getting even bigger.

A recent article in the Kansas City Business Journal noted dramatic developments are underway at the Midwest Business Center in Clay County.

Written by Miranda Davis, the article noted that in response to growing demand, Hunt is adding two massive buildings at the business center, HMBC III and IV. The 2,500-acre business park is south and east of Worlds of Fun.

One structure is already under construction, HMBC III, a 217,000 square foot building. Hunt is finalizing permits for the second, which will total 425,000 square feet.

Hunt’s dramatic success with the development is based on several factors, including the outstanding logistics of interstate access, proximity to the Ford plant and the relative scarcity in the region for “spec” buildings constructed without immediate tenants. The first two Hunt Midwest Business Center structures, HMBC I and II, are 100 percent leased.
