Clay County golf fans will have a new state-of-the-art driving range, restaurant and entertainment facility when T-Shotz opens in early 2020.
Now under construction, T-Shotz is the first new tenant for Metro North Crossing, the rebuilt center at Barry Road and Highway 169. The complex will feature a high-tech video driving range and restaurants.
The 52,000-square-foot building will feature two restaurants and bars, including an oyster bar. The golf area will include 66 technology-enhanced hitting bays and suites arranged on three levels. Customers can eat, drink and socialize while overlooking the 200-yard range.
Replacing the now demolished Metro North Center, Metro North Crossing is also planned to include a cinema, hotel, multi-family residential, retail and restaurants, as well as a specialty grocery store. The new center will also feature a balloon theme in memory to the mini hot air balloons that once graced the center court of Metro North Shopping Center.
The golf center will be operated by Troon, a global leader in golf course management and development based in Scottsdale, Arizona, and it will be designed for different ages and skill levels. The advanced technology will allow customers to golf on famous courses, while advanced golf ball tracking will be available for experienced golfers.
Another section of Metro North Crossing is expected to break ground this spring. That area will feature 249 apartments and 30,000 square feet of retail.
