Missouri Lieutenant Governor to Address Northland Joint Luncheon
Missouri Lt. Gov. Mike Parson will give an inside view of state and regional economies at the annual Joint Luncheon.
The event begins at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 12, at Hilton Kansas City Airport, 8801 NW 112th Street, Kansas City, Mo. Lt. Gov. Parson will discuss recent state and regional economic developments as well as forecasts for the future.
Born in Clinton, Mo., and raised on a Hickory County farm, Parson served six years in the U.S. Army before pursuing higher education at the University of Maryland and the University of Hawaii. He served 12 years as Polk County sheriff prior to being elected to the Missouri House of Representatives in 2004 from the 133rd District. He was reelected in 2006 and 2008 then, in 2011, was elected to the Missouri Senate from the 28th District.
