Area legislators presented an end-of-session review May 20 for members and guests of the Clay County Economic Development Council.

Local Legislators Review Missouri Issues

Funding for mega-projects such as the proposed Bombardier Aircraft plant and health insurance for small businesses were among the wide range of legislation discussed by area legislators at an end-of-session review May 20.

Sponsored by the Clay County Economic Development Council, the open discussion included Jerry Nolte (R-33), Tim Flook (R-34), Doug Ervin (R-35) and Ryan Silvey (R-38) provided in-depth information on a broad range of topics being proposed as new or modified laws. Mike Morris was also on hand to represent Senator Luann Ridgeway (R-17).

The event was held at Kansas City Police Shoal Creek Patrol Station.

Mike Chambers, chair of the EDC’s Civic and Legislative Affairs committee, led the discussion.
