Businesses Can Help Liberty Students See More Than Shadows on Groundhog Day

January 2018

Area business can help show Liberty seventh grade students more opportunities for future jobs at the 2nd annual Shadow Search Day Feb. 2.

This year’s Groundhog Day in Liberty will involve more than just seeing shadows.

The Liberty Public School District is organizing its second annual Shadow Search Day and you are invited to participate.

Shadow Search Day is a career fair that offers all of the district’s seventh graders an opportunity to begin deciding what they would like to do after high school and with their future.

You and your company can join by manning a booth with information on your field and business so students can speed to people in many different careers. Almost all fields are invited. Businesses especially needed for industrial and engineering technology, human services, natural resources, agriculture, business, management, technology, arts, communications and health services.

The event is at Discovery Middle School in Liberty from 7:30 to 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 2.
