EDC Seeks 2008 Look North Nominations

The Clay County Economic Development Council is seeking nominations for the 2008 Look North Award. The award will be presented at the Development Council’s Look North Leadership Banquet at Harrah’s North Kansas City on Oct. 9. Nominations close Sept. 12.

The Award will be given to recognize a person’s invaluable contributions to economic development and quality of life in Clay County. The Look North Award Selection Committee is composed of past award recipients and the Development Council Chair.

The Development Council's primary purpose is economic development, but strong consideration will be given for other accomplishments. Criteria used in the selection process may include one or all of the following: business achievement; civic leadership; cultural contribution and/or philanthropic commitment. The award is merit-based, and no deceased person or in-office elected government official is eligible.
