National Small Business Week Features Virtual Conference Sept. 22-24
SBA Will Host Virtual Event and Honor America’s Small Businesses during National Small Business Week Sept. 19-26
Jovita Carranza, Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration, has announced a national virtual event for National Small Business Week. The virtual event, to take place September 22-24, has been scheduled to replace the usual May in-person National Small Business Week which could not be conducted during the pandemic.
Each year, National Small Business Week honors our nation’s small businesses for their achievements and dedication to their communities and SBA presents awards to deserving recipients.
This year’s National Small Business Week virtual activities will include numerous educational panels providing retooling and innovative practices for entrepreneurs as our nation’s small businesses look to pivot and recover toward a stronger economy. The SBA will name this year’s National Small Business Person of the Year during the event and recognize Small Business Persons of the Year from each state.
The virtual National Small Business Week event will also recognize small business advocates for their involvement in disaster recovery, government contracting, and their support for small businesses and entrepreneurship. Awards will be presented to SBA partners in financial and entrepreneurial development, including top SCORE Chapter, Small Business Development Center, Women’s Business Center, and Veterans Business Outreach Center.

Local SBA district offices across the nation will honor state Small Business Persons of the Year in local ceremonies during the week.
