Info Exchange To Examine Independent Schools

What’s New in Independent Schools in Clay County will be the topic of the June 4 Information Exchange Sponsored by the Clay County Economic Development Council.

The free, public networking and seminar will feature a panel of Independent School Administrators: Kyle Karsten, principal, Martin Luther Academy; Kayla Elliott, director of Development for Northland Christian Schools; and Marlon DeLatorre, superintendent, Kansas City/St. Joseph Diocese Schools.

This exchange will be held at the Shoal Creek Police Station, 6801 NE Pleasant Valley Road.

Information Exchanges sponsored by the Clay County Economic Development Council are free and open to the public. They begin at 7:30 a.m. with networking followed by information presentations from 8 until 9 a.m.

North Patrol Focus for May Info Exchange

Development of the Shoal Creek Patrol Division and Community Policing in the Northland was the Info Exchange topic May 7 presented by Major Jan Zimmerman, commander.

The overview of the challenges and strategies of Clay County law enforcement was followed by tours of the new Shoal Creek Patrol Station and the new Regional Police Academy.

The Shoal Creek Patrol Division covers the eastern half of the Northland, which is approximately 75 square miles and with an estimated population of 65,000.
