Hy-Vee Grocery Store Renovation, Gladstone

December 2018

In Gladstone, the Hy-Vee Grocery Store Renovation has brought a new look and feel at 7117 N. Highway 1.

Hy-Vee invested approximately $9 million into their Gladstone location at Route 1 and 72nd Street. The effort has completely renovated the store into a modern and convenient business that also emphasizes the Hy-Vee commitment to the community.

Some of the changes include the Mia Pizza department where customers can build their own pizzas and then see them baked in a wood fire oven. The Hy-Vee Asian department has a huge array of delicious entrées made fresh daily. The new Hy-Vee Hickory House offers freshly smoked meats, fried chicken, hot sides and more. Another highlight is the new Hy-Vee floral department offering a great selection of fresh arrangements, single stems, grab-and-go floral options and more.

The project work secures 100 jobs and was conducted by general contractor Thomas Remis and Hy-Vee Construction. Project engineer was John Brehm of Hy-Vee.
