Education Topic for Next Strategic Update Meeting

April 2019

Clay County residents met in 2013 to help create the Strategic Initiative, which exceeded its five-year goals in dramatic fashion. Four meetings are being planned this spring to update the workforce and quality of life goals.

The second of four Clay County Strategic Planning meetings will be held from 3:30 - 5 p.m, April 25, in the Yates-Gill College Union at William Jewell College.

The focus will be on education. Speakers will include Brian Noller, director of Northland Career Center.

Sponsored by the Clay County Economic Development Council, the meetings are being held to update the county’s Strategic Initiative, which in just five years has helped generate thousands of jobs and improve quality of life. The first session was held March 28 in Gladstone with a focus on creative solutions for workforce issues.

The dialogues are being held the fourth Thursday of each month through June. The public is invited. Infrastructure will be the topic on May 22 at iWerx in North Kansas City and Entrepreneurial Business Development for the June meeting.
