KC Tech Academy Executive Director Kim Palomarez recently reported the organization is enjoying its new space in Pleasant Valley.
For nearly four years, KCTA has provided hands-on training needed for some of the nation’s fastest growing industries. Working with a growing list of Northland school districts, the academy trains high school students, as well as adults.
Founded in Liberty, the academy moved to a former Pleasant Valley elementary school while a fund-raising effort and planning are under way to create a new, world-class workforce training center in Liberty. The effort is one of the EDC’s Big 4 goals for the 2023.
Palomarez also noted several recent events at the academy included a visit to Industrial Springs in North Kansas City and hosting of the March Northland Education Business Alliance meeting with Missouri Governor Mike Parson. Some of the academy’s students were able to speak with the Governor about what they are learning at KC Tech.
