Liberty Hospital Seeks Partner: CEO Raghu Adiga, MD and the Board of Trustees for Liberty Hospital are exploring hospital partnerships. During the next few days they will begin reaching out to more than 30 local, regional and national health systems to discuss potential partnership opportunities that could further their vision for growth. Reynolds Receives Power Player Award: Hunt Midwest President and CEO Ora Reynolds became the fourth person ever to receive the Kansas City Business Journal’s Power Player Award. The honor shines a spotlight on people who have had, and continue to have, a lasting positive effect on the commercial real estate industry. NWDC Fundraiser Next Friday: The benefit golf tournament for the Northland Workforce Development Center campaign is May 12th at 8:00 AM at Paradise Pointe in Smithville. We wanted to reach out to you after talking to Kim Simmons from KC’s American Welding Society (AWS) Chapter. They are gearing up for a great golf tournament in support of the project! New Name for Jewell Hall?: One of our readers told us that a William Jewell Collegecommission looking into the history of the college, including its ties to slavery, has recommended renaming Jewell Hall to honor enslaved people. We could find nothing on the website but did see other publications revealing the story.
