Development of the 93-acre Metro North Crossing continues as the rebuilt Metro North adds new businesses and amenities.
Among the most visible additions is a new retail building under construction. When complete in December, it will bring approximately 15,000-square-feet of shopping space with multiple tenants, including multiple restaurants and retail businesses.
The building is near the Woodstone at Metro North Crossing. This approximately $60-million complex features 249 apartment and townhome-style units. With leasing opened just last August, Woodstone’s multi-family section already is at 90 percent occupancy. The complex also includes 30,000 square feet of retail with four tenants secured, Bloom Nails & Spa, HOTWORX infrared sauna workouts, HullHouse Coffee and Third Street Social restaurant.
Also upcoming are new pickleball courts outside T-Shotz on the north side of the development. Plans for the 10.7-acre golf and entertainment complex have been updated and now show four courts where 40 parking spaces had been located. The lot still retains 361 parking spots.
Developers have also reported they are considering a second, $40-million apartment project. Currently, other tenants at the center include Macy’s, McDonald’s, Olive Garden and Red Lobster.
