The Clay County Economic Development Council’s annual Look North luncheon will be Oct. 27 at Harrah’s North Kansas City. The event will include recognition of the 2023 Look North Award recipient, Ora Reynolds.
Ora, President and CEO at Hunt Midwest,has been leading the efforts of in creating thriving neighborhoods and commercial property and development both above ground and below ground.
Ora’s community service stretches from corporate boards to numerous charitable and civic organizations. She is Co-Chair of the Kansas City Area Development Council Board of Directors. She also serves on the advisory board of Commerce Bank, on the KU Advancement Board, and is past chair of the Starlight Theater board. Ora was the fourth recipient of the KC Business Journal Power Player Award.
As great leaders do, Ora shared the honor “I owe it all to the amazing people I have worked with to accomplish so much. It takes a village!”
The Look North Leadership award was created to recognize the outstanding leadership accomplishments of a person who has made an invaluable contribution to economic development and quality of life in Clay County. The EDC’s primary purpose is economic development, but that purpose cannot readily be separated from other accomplishments.
Past winners include some of Clay County’s most illustrious leaders whose accomplishments and contributions to the region have made the region a better place to live, work and play.
