US Motor Works, a manufacturer and distributor of aftermarket automotive parts, is investing $19.2M in a new 167,000-square-foot fulfillment center in Liberty.
The company plans to expand operations at the Heartland Meadows Industrial Park. US Motor Works currently operates out of six facilities, four in California, one in Duluth, Georgia and one in Monterrey, Mexico, with corporate offices located in Santa Fe Springs, California.
The new facility will allow US Motor Works to centralize distribution, expand capabilities and speed up delivery times. “Being centrally located in the USA and specifically in the Kansas City area, we are three days away from 90% of anywhere in the country by truck,” noted Gil Benjamin, US Motor Works president and CEO. “This new fulfillment center will not only allow us to serve our customers better, but it will also allow our products and brands to continue growing without space limitations.”
The Kansas City region’s central location, skilled workforce and robust industrial market make it a leading U.S. logistics hub and key location for companies looking to optimize their supply chain operations, with an abundant infrastructure and transportation network. The facility is projected to operate at full capacity in January 2024.
US Motor Works has been family-owned and operated since 1995. It has been expanding its operations rapidly over the past five years. Doron Goren, COO wrote, “US Motor Works is proud to expand operations to our new facility in Liberty Missouri, where we will continue to be committed to providing an extensive line of high-quality products, the finest customer service and the best support program available in the automotive and heavy-duty market.”
