The Clay County Economic Development Council is seeking nominations for the 2023 Look North Leadership Award.

The Look North Leadership award was created to recognize the outstanding leadership accomplishments of a person who has made an invaluable contribution to economic development and quality of life in Clay County. The Clay County EDC’s primary purpose is economic development, but that purpose cannot readily be separated from other accomplishments. 

Criteria used in the selection process may also include one or all the following: business achievement; civic leadership; cultural contribution and/or philanthropic commitment. The award is merit-based, and no deceased person or in-office elected government official is eligible.

Nominations will be accepted until 5 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 16. Nomination forms are available through the EDC office. Please call the Clay County EOC office at 816-468-4989 if you have questions.

The Look North Leadership awards will be presented at the Clay County EDCs Look North luncheon, Oct. 19, 2023.
