Northland Workforce Development Center

Northland Workforce Development Center

A 501(c)(3) corporation that empowers the Northland with exceptional workforce initiatives, programming and partnerships.

A thriving workforce is the backbone of a strong community driving both economic growth and stability.  Communities thrive with skilled workers leading to boosted consumer activity, higher tax revenues and better infrastructure.  A robust workforce fuels innovation and entrepreneurship, creating opportunities for both personal achievement and collective success.

We are currently in the midst of a $74M campaign to build the NWDC which will serve as a hub for both students and adult learners.  Every week employers in the regional express their urgent need for skilled workers.  The new center will provide us with the opportunity to nurture more skilled workers and establish a much-needed robust pipeline for area employers.

There are currently 12 programs at NCC with a total of 28 sections where students can get career training.  Tow programs currently have two teachers.  When the building programming is complete, there will be a total of 23 programs, with possible total of 54 sections of career training.  Please note that all new programs will not start at once and will be phased in based on demand and market support from various industries.  For more information, please reach out to Brian Noller at noller.brian@pcr3schools.org; Tina Chase at tchace@plattecountyedc.com; or Bridget Mendoza at bridgetm@clayedc.com.

This video tells our story and outlines the background information for building a new Northland Workforce Development Center. It also shares some preliminary plans for the new center and our quest to match the $37,000,000 allocation provided by the State of Missouri. We express our sincere thanks to our Northland State Legislators and our Missouri Governor, Mike Parson. We also want to thank all of our strategic partners and NCC Advisory Board Members for their support.
